 Powder laundry detergent sure to please! These tubs are a great value, and actually clean your clothes! I put them to the test with nasty grass stains from my daughter's pants. Worked like a charm! Not a fan of powdered laundry detergents? ME EITHER. They work and smell fantastic, but I have a shakey hand, and tend to make a mess with it on my floor (whoops!) FINALLY Scentsy has come up with LIQUID LAUNDRY DETERGENT! I cant express how excited I was for this to come out. These bottles may be small, but their impact is huge! They work VERY well! I was actually surprised with the kind of yucky stains these could get out! Plus they smell grrrrreat! You only need a couple pumps per load, so they last quite a long time (this coming from a girl who does at least 1-2 loads of laundry per day! YIKES!) It is also available in an non-scented version for those who are sensitive!

HOW TO CLEAN UP A SPILL!

OOOPS! I SPILLED MY WAX!

STEP ONE: DON'T PANIC!

 

I have had some customers call me, with panic in the voice:  

"BRITTANY I SPILLED MY WAX!"

 

 

The GREAT, FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, AMAZING thing about Scentsy wax, is that it's simple to clean up! No matter how small, or dramatic the spill may be, you can get it off! It may take some effort, but it can be done!

 

 

So how is it done? RE-MELT THE WAX MY FRIENDS!

 

 

Clothes/Material:

For materials that can be transported, take them to the ironing board. Put a paper towel/paper bag over the wax and then iron over it.  The iron melts the wax again and the paper towel absorbs it up.

 

Hard Surfaces:

Put the paper towel on the wax again and then use a hair dryer to heat the wax, again, the melted wax will be absorbed by the paper towel.

 

Carpets/Couches/Upholstery:

Use the iron method again, use a paper towel or paper bag.

 

 

There are many other methods out there, including the elbow grease method (use something to scrape it all up) but I find the melting/heating of the wax works the best for me!

PS! If you find that your hard surface has a residue left over, you can use a SMALL amount of rubbing alcohol to clean up the residue, but be careful as you can remove stains/varnishes/paint on furniture and floors or paint from your walls with rubbing alcohol if you use too much!

 

 

 

** Always use a very low heat setting on your iron, otherwise you may ruin your surfaces that you are trying to fix! **

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



IS IT SAFE?

Is Scentsy Safe For Children?

 

 

I have been asked by several parents whether or not Scentsy is truly safe to use around small children.

THE ANSWER IS YES!!

I understand the uncertainty of this because unless you have used Scentsy Fragrance products, you usually relate them to your regular every day jar candle (which aren’t safe to use around small children - due to hot wax, fire, flame, soot, smoke, chemicals, etc.)

Scentsy warmers have no wick, no flame, and do not let off any harmful soot or smoke. They use a low-watt light bulb to gently and slowly melt high quality food grade paraffin wax fragrance bars that are non-toxic. So, our warmers do not get extremely hot and the wax does not get hotter than body temperature, making it is safe to use around children of all ages (and pets too!)

The only situation you could possibly run into, is if your child spills the wax, which again, is not a big deal! The wax is easily removed from surfaces (including carpet!) , and wont burn skin if they spill it on themselves!

If you follow me on Facebook (scentsbrittanygerrity) or Instagram (missbgerrity), you know how much I have been RAVING about January's scent of the month. When I received my Scent of the Month package last Friday, I jumped for joy!! This LITERALLY smells amazing. I started warming it in my bedroom immediately, and my boyfriend even said it smelled fantastic.

I then brought it into work, and started warming a cube in the ladies room, and the excitement started right away!

One of my co-workers said "I wasn't sure what it was going to smell like from the description, but OH-MY-GOSH I'm in love".

I think I really enjoy it because it's a GREAT unisex scent. Although it's purple in colour, the men in your life will truly enjoy this scent too. Its a great mix between feminine and masculine.

My customers jumped on the opportunity to have a sample that I have been handing out (made as soon as I got the package personally by me!).

On a side note: I should make a post about how I make my samples ;)

Scentsy Launch Party Order Update

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

Alright, so I am so stoked that my order was at my house when I got home from work today! 5 boxes worth! Holy cow! This is a lot of Scentsy all in one place and I love it! 

This is what I walked into:

My first thought was .... "Oh boy!" Seemed liked a lot of heavy boxes!! Haha 

So I immediately brought them to my dining room table and began to unpack... Box by box it started piling up... 

This is what came out of these boxes:

I took a break at this point so I could go to my daughters Christmas concert (yet another great aspect of doing Scentsy... Family first! And that's not an issue with Scentsy because you work your own hours and at your own pace)

When I got home I was excited to start organizing orders, but first on the to do list was labelling everything. Once that was done I just went order by order and started packing things together.

I ended up with this:

Looks pretty good if I do say so myself! Then it was just adding final touches:

Tada! The final result! Gift tagged, thank you card, and all tied with a bow! 

I think it turned out super cute :) I kind of wish my most recent scentsy family store order was in though (that's where consultants can purchase business supplies direct from scentsy) so that I could have included the little mini scentsy spatulas... My plan was to attach one to the outside of every order that was over $50 (which in this case was basically for every customer I had who ordered) oh well, maybe they will come in soon and I can just honor the promo and deliver it separately... Hmm! Who knows!

My Scentsy Parties

Just thought I would share a photo from one of my Scentsy parties to give a feel for what I can set up! I was super excited about this spread (And it was taken BEFORE I rearranged it to include the Holiday warmers).

What do we think? Nice huh? LOL

The Scentsy display stand was made by my Dad and my Uncle, they did an awesome job! LOVE IT! :) I am glad I chose to paint it white too, I debated between going solid black, solid white, or doing the Scentsy colours (purple and green), but then I thought that the warmers should show themselves off, and they did! BIG THANK YOU TO MY DAD AND UNCLE FOR IT! ITS FANTASTIC AND WILL GET SOME GOOD USE!! :)

I just checked the update on my Scentsy workstation! My Scentsy Launch Party order is marked as shipped!! WOOHOOO!! That means I should (FINGERS CROSSED) have my deliveries by this Friday! And yes, I meant deliveries as plural... My first party order totaled over $1600 in sales! WOW WOW WOW! Which got my first pay raise! Super exciting! It happened so fast! I love the growth curve you can achieve with Scentsy! I now earn 25% commission :) I was also super close to getting a 5% bonus, but I didn't quite make it there, but that's okay!
Looks like my delivery is coming in 5 separate parcels, because I was issued 5 separate tracking numbers. HOLY COW! That's going to be fun to sort out and deliver for sure!
I will update once I receive the order and post how it goes! :)

Scent & Warmer Of The Month December 2013

SCENT & WARMER OF THE MONTH
DECEMBER 2013

 

 

 

I cant even begin to explain how excited I am about December 2013's warmer and scent of the month.

The warmer is called Silver Frost, and it is the newest addition to the lampshade collection. It features a mirrored glass exterior with a frosted glass finish. It is absolutely stunning when lit up. What I love about it, is not only is it gorgeous to display during the holidays, but it suits the whole winter season! Which, in Canada is basically all year round! LOL!

 

The scent of the month is called Spiced Berries. When I asked a friend what they thought it smelled like, their answer was "ritzy Christmas stores"... I will roll with that! LOL!. It really does smell like Christmas to me! The scent is described as "Frankincense and myrrh waft beneath decadent berries to create a timeless scent".
