So... Bad news first....

For those who were excited like myself to get your paws on the July 2014 warmer of the month "it's a party" unfortunately due to quality issues with the painting (yes it was hand painted) Scentsy Fragrance has decided not to sell them. They pride themselves on quality and were not happy with the shipments ...

Honestly... WHERE TO BEGIN!! There are so many AMAZINGLY FANTASTIC things going on with Scentsy this month..... So.... let just get right into it!

 

 

Scent & Warmer Of The Month
JUNE 2014

 

Okay, so some people that I have spoken with seem disappointed with the warmer of the month for June... but for me... I LOVE IT. Not only does it showcase the Canadian spirit, its yet again, another VERSITILE warmer!! Its a gallery warmer!! WOOHOOO! This means you can interchange the frames to suit your needs! There are multiple frames to choose from... however my favourite frame is the snapshot frame, because you can put any photo you'd like inside of it :)

 

 

Any who... The warmer is called "True North"

My Scent Opinion.... Ohhhh Emmmm GEEEEEE - haha it smells so delish!! Almost like some sort of berrie dessert.... Its not overly vanilla, but it has that sweetness to it that I LOVE. It smells absolutely fantabulous warming!! I have it going right now in my kitchen! Its been a hit in our household so far... My 5 year old also took a bar from my SOTM kit, and hid it in her room because she doesn't want them all to "go away" haha

My Personal Scent Opionion:

This one smells like sexy man! LOL... actually, it kind of reminds me of the Abercrombie store.

 

 

I have it warming at home, and at work, and its a total hit with both the ladies and the gents! Great scent to buy for Fathers day for sure!



 



Flyer Handouts

 

Hey!

So with however busy my life seems to get, I thoroughly enjoy running my Scentsy business! It almost feels like a hobby, rather than a job, and that's why I LOVE it!... a hobby that earns me an income??!! heck yes!!

 

I thought I'd share what I've been up to lately!

 

I have found a way to somewhat inexpensively (yet attractively) create mass flyer hand outs that are attracting attention to my business.

 

I use the following:

 

Product Lists - available for Independent Scentsy Consultants in the Scentsy Family Store.
 

 

They Look like this (photo shows both sides):

 

 

So I add my info onto the top, beside the Scentsy Fragrance logo (ALWAYS LABEL EVERYTHING YOU DO) and fold it into thirds.

 

 

Inside of that, I put my own personal flyer... something that I have come up with that explains Who I am, What Scentsy Fragrance is, How to Order, How to Host a Party and the host rewards, and a bit of information on Joining the Scentsy Family

 

So, that is printed on regular paper, and it is also folded into thirds.

 

Attached to my personal flyer is a wax sample... I found on amazon.ca (for $3.25) hard candy molds that enable to me to make 80 scent samples from one bar of wax.

 







 

Now, keep in mind, these samples are small, so it wouldn't be enough to warm in a warmer or anything, but it gives potential customers/recruits the chance to be able to smell and feel the product.

 

I typically use either the Scent of the Month, or I use something from the favourites collection (Such as French Lavender, or White Tea & Cactus).

 

The samples are put into little baggies (I get about 80 bags for $1 at the dollar store ... you can also find them in the jewelry section at wal mart, or your local craft store that sells jewelry making supplies.

 

I also have "Sample Cards" pre made.... Basically its a business card that has "Scentsy Sample" on it, with a line for me to write in the scent name, and then it has my information to contact me. This again, is an extra step that takes a bit of time, but having the sample name written on a card that someone can keep (just in case the sample goes missing) is great because they have my information, as well as the name of the scent!

 

So... The sample gets attached to the flyer, then the flyer goes inside the folded product list sheet, and then FINAL STEP... my Business card gets attached to the very front of that!

 

I know it seems like a huge process, but I am finding that the extra steps and effort that I put into this, the more of a response I have gotten.

 

So Final Product Looks Like This:

 



 

I make 250 of these at a time, it takes me about 2 hours

to complete this all (once I get in the swing of it! lol)

 

PS... I try to do this bi-weekly, if not that, then monthly :)

 

 

 

I had someone ask me how much it costs for me to do this.... The initial cost is a bit higher, because you would need the candy mold(s), the business cards, etc. which are all optional, of course.

 

 

So if I do the math on this and how much it costs me... it costs approx. $0.15 per flyer, plus the initial supplies.

Not tooooo shabbbyyyyy :)

With all of the excitement the warmer weather and sunshine is bringing, I feel like the Warmer Of The Month and Scent Of The Month are PERFECT for April!

 

Scentsy, Inc has done an amazing job with choosing the perfect scents to introduce each month, and they certainly have not disappointed this girl this month!

 

Now, I have had my April Scent Of The Month since mid March, and have attempted to contain my excitement until now!

 

 

 

 

WARMER OF THE MONTH

My Scent Opinion:

 

If you want my personal opinion of Sugared Blooms, I do have to say, for a person who isn't overly fond of floral smells, I do LOVE this one. I has a hint of floral, but I feel as though the combination of the scent of fresh berries somewhat brings that strong floral scent down a notch.

 

When I first get my Scent Of The Month package, I always smell the scent before I read it's description. The only way I could describe this Scent was "MMMM IT SMELLS LIKE SPRING".

 

My daughter thought I was a little crazy, being five years old, she can't quite wrap her mind around how a season has its own smell... haha. She said "Mommy.... spring is not a scent"... Oh man... so of course the Scentsy Lady in me sprung into the "Scents Evoke Memories" type of conversation, and in the end my daughter understood.

 

I may have taken us smelling EVERY tester I have in stock, but she eventually got the idea. She would smell scents like... French Lavender from our favourites collection, and she would say "This smells like nanny's bed" - which was the perfect way for me to describe how the memory of cuddling nanny in her bed was evoked by the scent.

 

Of course, my mom, aka "NANNY" uses the Scentsy Layers laundry aids in French Lavender haha.
