So this week I chose Serene Green... for many reasons. The first being that I LOVE this scent... Its summery, yet relaxing and calming at the same time. I love this fragrance for my bedroom and living room... wherever I feel is a good space to wind down!

Honestly... WHERE TO BEGIN!! There are so many AMAZINGLY FANTASTIC things going on with Scentsy this month..... So.... let just get right into it!

Okay, so some people that I have spoken with seem disappointed with the warmer of the month for June... but for me... I LOVE IT. Not only does it showcase the Canadian spirit, its yet again, another VERSITILE warmer!! Its a gallery warmer!! WOOHOOO! This means you can interchange the frames to suit your needs! There are multiple frames to choose from... however my favourite frame is the snapshot frame, because you can put any photo you'd like inside of it :)

My Scent Opinion.... Ohhhh Emmmm GEEEEEE - haha it smells so delish!! Almost like some sort of berrie dessert.... Its not overly vanilla, but it has that sweetness to it that I LOVE. It smells absolutely fantabulous warming!! I have it going right now in my kitchen! Its been a hit in our household so far... My 5 year old also took a bar from my SOTM kit, and hid it in her room because she doesn't want them all to "go away" haha

Okay, okay, okay... I know I have been attempting to do my fragrance Friday's about the Spring and Summer scents that are currently available... BUTTTTT .... I was totally inspired yesterday at my friend's house to showcase this fragrance.

Every week I choose a Scentsy Fragrance to honor and to give my own personal thoughts and opinions on. The scents I choose are at random, and are something that I have personally experienced myself at home or at the office.

 

This week, Friday, April 18, 2014 - GOOD FRIDAY - I have chosen one of the scents from the Spring & Summer 2014 collection.

MY PERSONAL OPINION:

 

I do have to say that typically my first choice for Scents when reading descriptions is not to choose something that's "outdoorsy" ... Although, I'm not 100% sure why LOL. I do have to say, that I enjoy this scent a lot. Its a very relaxing smell in my opinion, which is probably why I like it so much. Its fresh and doesn't exactly smell like the ocean, but it does remind me of vacation, so that's definltey a good thing, RIGHT? lol

This Friday, April 11, 2014 I have chosen a Scent that I am officially OBSESSED with! It totally screams SUMMER and perhaps a delicious summer DRINK that I cannot wait to enjoy by the pool!

 

 

CHERRY LIMEADE

 

 

 

"Zesty key lime, sweet cherry, and juicy berry:
a delicious scent reminiscent of a soda fountain drink."

My Scentsational Opinion:

This scent is perfect for the summer, its fruity and smells juicy, if that's even possible. Its not overly potent with the cherry, which is good for my tastes, because I'm not the Cherry's number one fan. But THIS... THIS is perfectly balanced with the lime and the berries! This scent seriously makes me thirsty!

The most frequently asked question I receive from customers (as well as newer consultants) is how long certain Scentsy Fragrance products last. I have come up with my own personal experience "rule-of-thumb" chart for the basics! :)

With the tease of warm weather we've had here, I am feeling like spring/summer is JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!

 

So, this week I tried out Pineapple Sorbet! and Oh Em Gee! LOVE THIS ONE!

 

 

 

 

Its: Sweet and tart, like a refreshing scoop of pineapple sorbet



Flyer Handouts

 

Hey!

So with however busy my life seems to get, I thoroughly enjoy running my Scentsy business! It almost feels like a hobby, rather than a job, and that's why I LOVE it!... a hobby that earns me an income??!! heck yes!!

 

I thought I'd share what I've been up to lately!

 

I have found a way to somewhat inexpensively (yet attractively) create mass flyer hand outs that are attracting attention to my business.

 

I use the following:

 

Product Lists - available for Independent Scentsy Consultants in the Scentsy Family Store.
 

 

They Look like this (photo shows both sides):

 

 

So I add my info onto the top, beside the Scentsy Fragrance logo (ALWAYS LABEL EVERYTHING YOU DO) and fold it into thirds.

 

 

Inside of that, I put my own personal flyer... something that I have come up with that explains Who I am, What Scentsy Fragrance is, How to Order, How to Host a Party and the host rewards, and a bit of information on Joining the Scentsy Family

 

So, that is printed on regular paper, and it is also folded into thirds.

 

Attached to my personal flyer is a wax sample... I found on amazon.ca (for $3.25) hard candy molds that enable to me to make 80 scent samples from one bar of wax.

 







 

Now, keep in mind, these samples are small, so it wouldn't be enough to warm in a warmer or anything, but it gives potential customers/recruits the chance to be able to smell and feel the product.

 

I typically use either the Scent of the Month, or I use something from the favourites collection (Such as French Lavender, or White Tea & Cactus).

 

The samples are put into little baggies (I get about 80 bags for $1 at the dollar store ... you can also find them in the jewelry section at wal mart, or your local craft store that sells jewelry making supplies.

 

I also have "Sample Cards" pre made.... Basically its a business card that has "Scentsy Sample" on it, with a line for me to write in the scent name, and then it has my information to contact me. This again, is an extra step that takes a bit of time, but having the sample name written on a card that someone can keep (just in case the sample goes missing) is great because they have my information, as well as the name of the scent!

 

So... The sample gets attached to the flyer, then the flyer goes inside the folded product list sheet, and then FINAL STEP... my Business card gets attached to the very front of that!

 

I know it seems like a huge process, but I am finding that the extra steps and effort that I put into this, the more of a response I have gotten.

 

So Final Product Looks Like This:

 



 

I make 250 of these at a time, it takes me about 2 hours

to complete this all (once I get in the swing of it! lol)

 

PS... I try to do this bi-weekly, if not that, then monthly :)

 

 

 

I had someone ask me how much it costs for me to do this.... The initial cost is a bit higher, because you would need the candy mold(s), the business cards, etc. which are all optional, of course.

 

 

So if I do the math on this and how much it costs me... it costs approx. $0.15 per flyer, plus the initial supplies.

Not tooooo shabbbyyyyy :)

It's FRIDAY!

T.G.I.F

 

Its my favourite day of the week!! Not only because its the end of a busy work week, but its because my weekends are my dedicated Scentsy time!

I work my Scentsy business 24/7, however, weekends are when I find the most time for myself to be able to sit down, spread out, and truly focus on my customers. Its when I prepare for the week to come, with my short term goals, and its also when I look ahead and see where I am going towards my long term goals. What did I do this week that impacted my business in a positive way? Are there areas that I could improve upon?

What's the first thing that pops into your head when you think of Valentines day candy?

 

 

CHOCOLATE?!?!.... WRONG-O... I said the same thing, coming from a choco-holic I don't blame you.

 

I'm talking about CANDY though....

 

Perhaps Conversation Hearts??

 

 

 

These iconic candies have been around since 1902, and are made by Necco. Every year Necco adds new sayings onto their beloved candy hearts.
 

This year they have even added "Tweet Me" and "Text Me" - seriously we are so driven by technology these days it sometimes scares me!!
 

 

You're probably thinking what the heck does this have to do with Scentsy?!? ..... here I am rambling on about CANDY... haha..

Well my friends, I found this on the Scentsy blog, and thought it was super fun! Do you remember getting these candies and trying to make sentences or poems with them as a kid?

Scentsy took a spin on this concept, and using the idea of Conversation Hearts to make Scentsy Fragrance sayings and poems related to Valentines day... "CONVERSATION BARS!"

 

I LOVE THIS CONCEPT! So creative!!
