  Scentsy Fragrance is a Scentsy Family brand that offers a variety of home and personal fragrance products.

• What products does Scentsy Fragrance sell?

  Scentsy Fragrance offers a variety of home and personal fragrance products, including scented wickless candles and decorative ceramic warmers, which together provide a safer alternative to burning wicked candles.

• What are wickless candles?

  A wickless candle is a highly fragrant wax bar that is warmed to release fragrance into the air. Because the wax is gently warmed rather than burned, it can hold more fragrance oil than a traditional candle. And, because there is no flame, there is no smoke, soot, or lead. Scentsy wickless candles are a safer alternative to traditional candles.

• How is the wax warmed?

  Scentsy’s beautiful warmers house a low-watt light bulb that slowly melts the Scentsy candle bar, filling your home with one of more than 80 distinctive and long-lasting scents.
  The combination of a Scentsy warmer with a Scentsy Bar is known as a Scentsy System.

• Where are Scentsy products made?

  Scentsy’s wickless candles and home-fragrance products are made in Scentsy’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Meridian, Idaho. Our ceramic warmers are designed by Scentsy and made to our exact specifications by our manufacturing partner in China.

• Can I buy Scentsy in a retail location?

  No. Scentsy is a direct selling company with a sales force — known as Independent Scentsy Consultants — that sells our products through home parties, open houses, fairs and trade shows, and fundraisers. Scentsy products are perfect for sharing in a fun and friendly party environment!

• Does Scentsy have a catalog of products?

  Yes. Each year, Scentsy releases two new catalogs — one in March for the Spring/Summer season and one in September for the Fall/Winter season. Ask me for your own catalog, or view it online on my personal website

• How can I buy Scentsy products?

How I'm feeling, and my Personal Goals

I often get asked by other members of my team how I manage to stay motivated on a daily basis... Motivation is key in the direct sales world. You have to love what you're doing!

My favourite quote is:

 

 "Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you're doing, you will be successful"

 

I never want anyone to think that being in direct sales is a walk in the park... It doesn't just happen overnight, and you do have to put effort into your business if you wish to succeed. Now... don't let that discourage you, because with the Scentsy Family you truly are given a ton of amazing tools to utilize and their guidance is out of this world amazing. It also would depend on what your goal would be in the long term.... Those who just want to gain back on personal sales, are going to have much different goals than those who wish to build a team.

 

So..I'm talking about meeting my own personal goals, and when that doesn't necessarily happen....

 

You see... I tend to shoot for the stars with my goals, rather than take small (more manageable) steps...and I feel as though sometimes I am putting forth exuberant amounts of effort, and I am not seeing the results that I personally want from myself. This is when I become hard on myself.... I always have to revert back to the fact that things happen on their own, when they're supposed to.... and this does take time. Although at times, its hard to keep that mantra within your line of sight.

 

I also need to learn to make my goals more managble... The goals I set now, shouldn't be short term, they should be more of long term goals... I know this in the back of my mind, but I am so eager to share Scentsy with everyone... So I suppose balance with goals is key.

So, to make sure I keep myself on track for reaching said personal goals, I have found that simply writing down your goal helps a ton. This may sound silly, but to all of those who have their "Dream Boards" done up are actually the ones who tend to reach their personal goals (from those I have met anyway). Thus far, I haven't posted a "dream board" for the world to see when they walk into my home, but I think that may be my next goal... putting it out there. As of right now I just write down my personal goals in my binder, and only see it when I open that up...
So maybe if its IN MY FACE, it will stay on my mind better, and be more motivational to start accomplishing those goals.

So, that will be my first goal ... reaching my goals?... lol

Next, I have decided that I will dedicate a minimum of 15-30 minutes towards my Scentsy Fragrance business per day. It could be a combined 30 minute session of sitting down and planning... or I can be accumulated throughout the day by completing and doing smaller tasks. Our Super Star Director actually started a motivational summer thing with our teams... Its called the Summer Movers and Shakers... we all post daily on the Facebook group about what we managed to accomplish that day in regards to our Scentsy Fragrance business.... I LOVE THIS IDEA. It's awesome because your fellow independent consultants can bounce ideas off of one another, and learn different ways to operate a Scentsy Fragrance business to get to those goals.

I also tend to go over the #ichoosescentsy / #ichoose calendar that Scentsy provided us around the time of Spring Sprint this year... It was a pre-determined calendar full of daily challenges to complete.

 

Now... my next biggest goal (which will be an ongoing one) although it may seem small, is getting out of my comfort zone.... behind a keyboard I tend to be able to communicate what I wish to portray much easier than if I were face to face with someone.. I know this is the case for many of us.... Not that I am shy in any means, once a conversation is going, I have no issues...

 

I am speaking solely in the regards of going up to a complete stranger... say in the grocery store, or at the bank, etc... and just simply talking about Scentsy. I feel like I may be interrupting their day or something... I always try and be available to everyone, but I feel like people now-a-days lead such busy lifestyles and they always seem like they're in a rush to get onto their next daily task.

So, I need to figure out a way to be involved with my community, and share the Scentsy experience with those around me, without being nervous that I am being a burden. Hrrmmm... maybe that sounds silly... I don't know, but it is how I feel lol.

 

I also need to discover a good way to introduce and share the Scentsy experience from an Independent Consultants point of view... you know, how it has changed their lives, or what they can achieve by enrolling....

 

So... Throughout this post, I have described several personal goals... So these are the areas I know that I need to improve upon and focus on... and that is my plan!

Okay, so some people that I have spoken with seem disappointed with the warmer of the month for June... but for me... I LOVE IT. Not only does it showcase the Canadian spirit, its yet again, another VERSITILE warmer!! Its a gallery warmer!! WOOHOOO! This means you can interchange the frames to suit your needs! It smells absolutely fantabulous warming!! I have it going right now in my kitchen! Its been a hit in our household so far... My 5 year old also took a bar from my SOTM kit, and hid it in her room because she doesn't want them all to "go away" haha

Dear Scentsy Friends,

I came across an article online, and I have to say that I am overwhelmed with joy when I read such amazing things regarding a company that I have chosen to be a part of. I encourage you to read the article, and to read for yourself the true honesty and compassion that Heidi and Orville Thompson have. They know themselves how it feels to be down and out financially, and have created and set goals for this company to better not only their own family's lives, but for everyone around them as well. You can find the article if you go onto the Direct Selling News website and search Scents with Sense by Lin Grensing-Pophal.

I have to also say, that the announcement made by Heidi and Orville this past week regarding the discontinuation of Grace Adele was outstanding. Being a Grace Adele Independent Consultant as well, I was truly saddened by the news... However, it again, is not discouraging. From a business perspective, sometimes tough decisions must be made... and that's just life. I can see it in both Heidi and Orville the heartbreak that it has caused to even have to make such an altering decision. I believe 100% and stand behind their decision though. For those of you who are interested in watching the announcement, I encourage you to, look for it on YouTube... It will give you an inside look at our wonderful Owners..
 

I don't really know how many of you truly understand the lengths that this company goes to help teach, and encourage their employees at head office, as well as Independent Scentsy Family Consultants all over the world. This isn't all about earning an income (but don't get me wrong, that's amazing on its own) but this company has programs dedicated to those who are involved with the Scentsy family to help better their lives in many ways.

 

They have a 24/7 training center that can be accessed online at anytime from our Scentsy Workstation account - it has links, photos, slide shows, and personal stories from others that help encourage you to do your best.... and also HOW TO DO IT! My favourite part is the new "monthly theme" that they've introduced as well to the training center... it helps you focus on different areas of your business, and how to be successful.  

 

The best part is Scentsy Wellness... Which gives you access to fitness, nutrition, and general health information! They have challenges that you can sign up for, with rewards along the way. For example... the 100 mile challenge, which gives you a few months (leading up to Scentsy Family Reunion) to complete 100 miles (walking, running, whatever it may be)... once you complete you first 10 miles, they send you a bracelet... a little bit of encouragement to keep going! .

  

You see, the Scentsy Family is not all about making money.... Its about being part of a family. I have said it time and time again... some people laugh at me, and some people seem simply confused (especially those who have had negative experiences with other DS companies).... however, it's the truth, and that's my own personal opinion.

 

Scentsy has offered me the ability to be involved in something bigger than what I had anticipated... and although I'm just one of a million right now, that doesn't mean that what I have to offer, and what I have to share with those around me isn't important.

My voice may not be heard by the masses, but I refuse to let that discourage me.... I may not be a Scentsy Independent Director, or any of that.... I may not even have started a team yet... but that doesn't mean I'm not part of something bigger than what I can reach out and currently grasp. I know, in time, my perseverance will pay off... and the best part is... I don't feel as though I'm wasting my time.... Simply because, I really do love what I'm doing. And that alone, Scentsy friends, is enough for me.

Okay, okay, okay... I know I have been attempting to do my fragrance Friday's about the Spring and Summer scents that are currently available... BUTTTTT .... I was totally inspired yesterday at my friend's house to showcase this fragrance.

Blog Update

Hey Scentsy Friends!

I thought I would take the time to give you a little Scentsy journey update, and fill you in on what I have been up to lately in regards to my life and my Scentsy business :)

First off, I have fallen in love with the Layers line.... when I first joined Scentsy Fragrance, I never even realized the Bath & Body line, as well as the Laundry Aid line even existed. I feel like these products don't receive the hype they deserve.

The last month or so, I have focused a lot of my attention on expanding my customer base through the Layers by Scentsy line.

To do so, I found an active group of motivated individuals on Facebook (Check the group out: Layer On The Samples) its organized by Crystal Englot, whom is an amazing girl who has tons of ideas, and is 100% willing to share her sample ideas with everyone. She comes up with some great ways (AND COST EFFECTIVE WAYS) to promote this line. This was right up my alley, because I wanted everyone to be able to experience the joy that I was through this line.

I started off making body spray samples, because I found a local store that carried perfume atomizer bottles, and when I started handing them out to my current customers they all fell in love as well! They were Happy Go Lucky ;)

Then I branched off into the Laundry Aid line.... because let me tell you... I have never enjoyed doing my laundry until now... and that's the truth.

Laundry is always such a daunting task and the Liquid Laundry and Washer Whiffs (oh and the dryer disks too!) have made my laundry days enjoyable... I NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT!!
So I started making little "Love Your Laundry" samples, they include liquid laundry and washer whiffs... enough for someone to do a load of laundry and experience what I have been talking about! So far, RAVE REVIEWS! - My top seller now is Black Raspberry Vanilla, as well as Perfectly Pomegranate.

I have had few people on my team say "Wow... you put a lot of effort into your samples"... and I thought to myself... It doesn't really seem that way.
I guess I just LOVE doing it... Sharing Scentsy and Layers is more than just a job to me.. its a hobby, and a lifestyle that I really enjoy. I was tired of just making wax samples like everyone else... lets just mention as well, that yes, wax samples are a great tool to use, but to someone who doesn't even know what Scentsy is... a wax sample is somewhat... USELESS. Sorry to say.... but its true. Unless you have a customer who currently owns a Scentsy warmer, the wax sample's purpose at that point is just to smell. Not only are you wasting your money on making samples, but you're also wasting time and precious effort.
I want to encourage my fellow Independent Scentsy Fragrance Consultants to expand your horizons and begin to share the Layers experience as well!
Now this doesn't necessarily mean you have to go all out like some of us other sample gurus do, but try it out! The best one to start off with, in my opinion, is the Washer Whiff samples.... go to your local dollar store, and pick up some organza bags... fill each bag with either a half-scoop or full-scoop if you're feeling generous, and then include a label.

IMPORTANT REMINDER!! - IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO LAYERS SAMPES - ALWAYS INCLUDE THE LIST OF WARNINGS AND INGREDIENTS - You don't want someone having a reaction and then blaming you for not telling them what the ingredients are!

The Layers samples ... whether its body wash, hand cream, body spray, etc. etc... can be used immediately by your customer, and they get to actually experience the Scentsy fragrance. It is a GREAT way to attract attention to your business.

With that being said... WHERE IS MY BUSINESS HEADING??

Hmm... I'm really not 100% sure... I seem to be surprised each and every month that passes by with how my business is expanding and growing before my eyes. I have committed myself into the Scentsy Family and still have plenty of time for my full time job, as well as my family life. I am still baffled some days at how amazing the Scentsy Family is... I know that may sound like word vomit (... like im just hyping the company up) but it truly is fantastic. The incentives alone... If you have followed my last post regarding the opportunity to go to Cancun for FREE... with little effort, Scentsy will send Independent Scentsy Consultants on an all inclusive trip...
Does your work do that for you?... I DOUBT IT MY FRIENDS! lol

I really feel like I could do well with supporting my own team.... My near future goals are to expand my team, so I can further share my experiences with Scentsy Fragrance (as well as Grace Adele) to others, and help them feel the same way that I do.
I feel like I'd be a good sponsor... haha, because I know that sometimes, you just need some advice on the little things, and I feel like my knowledge can be useful to others...

I have also started signing up for more and more events/fairs.... I have two that I booked this weekend actually, one is for May 31st and one is July 6th which is a fundraising event in support of Big Brothers and Big Sisters... I feel like sharing the Scentsy experience is great.

Sharing with others the beneficial side to joining... I don't know, it may sound silly to some... but for those who already know what I'm talking about, you get it!.. haha

This one smells like sexy man! LOL... actually, it kind of reminds me of the Abercrombie store.

 

 

I have it warming at home, and at work, and its a total hit with both the ladies and the gents! Great scent to buy for Fathers day for sure!



 



Scentsy TAG

Hey Scentsy Friends!!

There have been videos flying around YouTube with an Independent Scentsy Consultant TAG

Although I haven't yet done my video version of this (soon to come I promise!) I thought I cold still share with you my answers to the TAG questions :) 

Oh and by the way, you might be thinking that this is probably going to take longer to type out than it would have been to just do a video in the first place... And you're probably right... Lol 

The reason that I am doing this version now is because my Scentsy office is in shambles at the moment... In the middle of redoing my Scentsy space ... So I don't have a good place to film it at the moment! NEW OFFICE ARRIVES TOMORROW .... YAYYYYY!!

Anyway getting on with it lol

Question 1: What's in your Scentsy warmers right now?

Answer: my bedroom has Zen Garden, my upstairs bathroom has Lilacs & Violets, my daughters room has Newborn Nursery, my kitchen has Mochadoodle, my dining room/where my office is going has Mystery Man, my living room also has Mystery Man, and my downstairs bathroom has Simply Irresistible

Question 2: What is your all time favourite scent?

Answer: Wow this is a tough one.... Off the bat I want to say blueberry cheesecake because that's the first scent I ever smelled warming, but I have to say that my favourite is probably Happy Go Lucky

Question 3: How many warmers do you have?

Answer: Well I guess question 1 kind of gives this away... But my personal warmers that I use at home, I have 7... To make this answer a little more interesting I will tell you which warmers I currently am using... My bedroom has the Black Zebra Element, my upstairs bathroom has the Taro plug in, my daughters room has the Cupcake, my kitchen has Natures Haven, my office/dining room has the sleek black warmer that I received at Spring Sprint with the 10 years frame, my living room has the lue chevron, and my downstairs bathroom has the whoot plug in 

Question 4: What type of scents do you prefer?

Answer: Hmmm... I can't say I'm overly picky, I like a lot of scents... But if I had to pick I would probably say clean/fresh smells. Now, with that said my opinion on clean and fresh changes lol

Question 5: How long have you been an Independent Scentsy Consultant? OR When did you first discover Scentsy?

Answer: I guess I could answer both of these questions .. I became an Independent Scentsy Consultant at the end of October 2013... But I first discovered Scentsy at the beginning of 2013 at my friends house (which is also where I first smelt blueberry cheesecake)

Question 6: What is the first fragrance you ever warmed?

Answer: The first fragrance I ever warmed was Welcome Home because that's what I was sent in my starter kit :)

Question 7: What is your favourite bath and body/ Layers product?

Answer: My favourite bath & body product would be my daily duo of Sunkissed Citrus shower gel and body lotion... But my favourite Layers product is the Washer Whiffs and Liquid Laundry :) especially in black raspberry vanilla 

Question 8: Do you coordinate according to season?

Answer: Yes and No.... I generally don't change all of my warmers... I might change the one in my office to something seasonal, but other than that my warmers are my warmers and they stay where the are lol ... As far as scents go though, I suppose I do change them according to season.... I guess that's mainly because Scentsy puts out seasonal scents (spring&summer or fall&winter) for their catalogue seasons. So I typically have in my home what is currently available in the catalogue :) right now I have more floral scents and fruity scents... And in the fall and winter I generally have the more cozy scents (cinnamon and pumpkin etc)

Question 9: What scent would you like Scentsy to come out with?

Answer: Hmmmmm... Another tough one... They have everything lol... But I guess something that smells like barbecue haha... I mean if they can duplicate the scent of a tomato vine, or burnt rubber km sure they can get my house smelling like barbecued ribs haha

Question 10: which scents do you want back for good?

Answer: Eucalyptus... Hands down. Love it and so does everyone else I know!
